Applications for the Indian Hydrogen Delegation are open to organisations and individuals whose activities align with the objectives of the programme. Participation is subject to review by the organising committee to ensure a balanced delegation representing industry, academia, government, research, and the wider innovation ecosystem.

Accommodation Note:

  • Registration includes four nights' accommodation in a single-occupancy room.
  • Twin-sharing accommodation may be arranged upon request.
  • Participants who wish to share with a known colleague should indicate the name of their preferred roommate during registration.
  • Participants who are willing to share but do not have a preferred roommate may request the organisers to identify a suitable sharing partner. While every effort will be made to accommodate such requests, twin-sharing cannot be guaranteed.
  • If a suitable sharing arrangement cannot be confirmed, the standard single-occupancy registration fee will apply.
  • Where twin-sharing is successfully arranged, the registration fee will be adjusted accordingly.

Non-Inclusions:

  • Air Tickets and Airport Transfers are not included as part of the registration package.

1What are the programme dates for the Indian delegation?
The Indian delegation programme is planned as a multi-day programme around the Hydrogen Transition Summit on 24 September 2026. This format is exclusively available only for delegates (Industry/Academic Delegates) arriving from India and are registered in either of the category. The programme is expected to include:


23 September 2026: Industry and technology visits
24 September 2026: Hydrogen Transition Summit
25 September 2026: Curated industry–academia sessions and cultural immersion activities

Delegates should plan their international travel in accordance with the final arrival and departure guidance issued by the organisers.
2Which Airport should delegates travel to?
Delegates are generally advised to travel through Munich Airport, subject to the final travel and transfer arrangements. Alternatively, delegates can also travel via Frankfurt Airport and transit to Munich. The summit location is Burghausen, located in southeastern Bavaria. T Kindly note that International flight tickets and airport transfer to hotel on arrival and departure dates are not included in the registration package.

Airport transfers are not included. In case if you will need airport transfers, please write to us at info@giballiance.org and the organisers are happy to support.
5Is accommodation included in the delegate registration fee?
Yes, the Indian Delegate Registration Package includes four nights of accommodation starting from 22nd Sept. 2026 to 25th Sept. 2026. Please note that Munich is the nearest major city, and the event coincides with Oktoberfest, one of the busiest periods of the year in the region. During this time, accommodation is in exceptionally high demand, often fully booked well in advance, and available rooms are typically offered at significantly higher rates.
6Can Delegates require twin-sharing accommodation?
Yes. Twin-sharing accommodation may be arranged upon request. Delegates who wish to share with a known colleague should provide the name of their preferred roommate during registration. Delegates who are willing to share but do not have a preferred roommate may request the organisers to identify a suitable sharing partner. Every effort will be made to accommodate such requests; however, twin-sharing cannot be guaranteed. Where a confirmed shared-room arrangement is possible, the registration fee may be adjusted accordingly. If a suitable sharing arrangement cannot be confirmed, the standard single-occupancy registration fee will apply.
7Are early check-in or additional hotel nights included?
Early check-in, late check-out, and accommodation outside the official programme dates are not included. Delegates requiring additional nights should inform the organisers in advance. The organisers may assist with extending the hotel reservation, subject to room availability and additional payment by the delegate.
8Is local transport included?
Yes. Local transport according to the official delegation programme is included. This is expected to cover transport between: The designated hotel Industry visit locations The Summit venue Curated session venues Official cultural immersion locations Transport requested outside the official programme, including personal travel, private appointments, or independent sightseeing, will not be covered.
9Are meals included?
Meals and refreshments during the official programme are included in the registration package. - Lunches during the programme - Coffee and refreshments - Networking dinner on one of the days - Meals connected to official delegation activities Meals taken outside the official programme and personal expenses are not included.
10What is the delegate pass?
Each confirmed participant will receive an official delegate pass or identification badge. The delegate pass provides access to the activities included in the registration category, which may include: Industry visits The Hydrogen Transition Summit Curated sessions Networking activities Official meals and refreshments Cultural immersion activities The pass must be worn visibly during the programme and may be checked before entry to selected venues.
11Will the organisers provide a visa invitation letter?
A formal event invitation or participation confirmation may be provided to eligible delegates after registration approval and receipt of the required payment or documentation. The invitation letter is intended to support the visa application process but does not guarantee that a visa will be issued. Visa decisions remain entirely with the relevant German diplomatic authorities.
12Is travel insurance required?
Delegates are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive international travel and medical insurance valid for Germany and the Schengen Area. Insurance should ideally cover: Emergency medical treatment Hospitalisation Repatriation Trip cancellation or interruption Baggage loss or delay Personal liability Delegates remain responsible for their own insurance.
13What clothing is recommended?
Business or smart business attire is recommended for the Summit and formal networking sessions. For industry visits, delegates should wear comfortable, closed footwear and follow any safety instructions issued by the host organisation. Where required, personal protective equipment will be arranged or specified in advance. Delegates should also carry: A light jacket or coat Comfortable walking shoes Rain protection Appropriate clothing for evening activities
14What currency is used in Germany?
Germany uses the euro. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted, but delegates are advised to carry also cash for personal expenses, local purchases, or locations where card payment may not be available. Delegates should inform their bank about international travel and confirm that their cards are enabled for use abroad.
15What happens in case of a medical emergency?
Delegates should immediately contact the local emergency services and inform the organisers. The general emergency number in Germany is: 112 — Ambulance and Fire Services Delegates should also carry details of their travel insurer, emergency contact person, medical conditions, and prescribed medication.
