The Hydrogen Transition Summit provides a dedicated forum for universities, research institutions, and innovation organisations to engage with each other and industry.

With participation from organisations across Germany, India, and the wider international community, the Summit supports collaboration that extends beyond the conference programme through research partnerships, engagement, institutional cooperation, and future collaborative initiatives.

The Summit places particular emphasis on strengthening academic and research collaboration between Germany and India. Universities and research institutions from both countries are encouraged to explore opportunities for joint research, faculty collaboration, student mobility, industrial partnerships, technology development, and innovation initiatives.

By bringing together academic excellence, industrial capability, and public institutions, the Summit seeks to establish new pathways for international cooperation that contribute to scientific advancement and the development of the global hydrogen economy.

Call for Abstracts

Showcase Your Research at the Hydrogen Transition Summit 2026

 

The Hydrogen Transition Summit 2026 welcomes abstract submissions from researchers, faculty, post-graduate and doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, research institutions, and universities working across the hydrogen value chain and related areas of industrial decarbonisation, sustainable energy, and clean technologies.

The abstract programme provides an opportunity to present current research to an international audience comprising industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, investors, and innovation stakeholders.

All accepted abstracts will be presented as oral presentations in appropriate sessions within the Summit programme.

Summit Themes

Abstracts may address scientific research, applied research, technological development, industrial case studies, educational initiatives, or collaborative projects relevant to the hydrogen transition.

General Instructions

Selected authors will be invited to present their work during the Summit’s technical and thematic sessions. As the number of presentation opportunities is limited, all submissions will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

Each selected contribution will be allocated:

  • 7 minutes for presentation
  • 5 minutes for questions and discussion

Abstracts must be submitted by the author who intends to present the work in person at the Summit. The presenting author will serve as the primary contact for all subsequent communication relating to the submission. Authors will normally be notified of the outcome within two weeks of abstract submission.

Language:
The official language of the Hydrogen Transition Summit 2026, including all presentations, discussions, and abstract submissions, is English.

Detailed technical & presentation guidelines will be communicated to accepted authors. Acceptance of an abstract does not automatically include registration for the Summit. Presenting authors must complete the applicable Summit registration requirements before the deadline.

Submission Guidelines

Each submission should include:

  • An abstract title of no more than 25 words
  • An abstract of no more than 250 words
  • Up to five keywords
  • The full names and affiliations of all authors
  • The name and contact details of the presenting author
  • One relevant topic or thematic category

The abstract should briefly describe the objective, approach or methodology, principal findings, and conclusions or relevance of the work.

Abstracts should be submitted as continuous text without separate section headings. Only standard abbreviations should be used. Any uncommon abbreviation should be written in full when first mentioned.

Figures, images, and tables should not be included unless specifically requested by the organisers.

Authors must ensure that all contributors are listed in the correct order and that institutional affiliations and contact details are complete and accurate.

Abstracts may be edited until the submission deadline. No changes will be possible after the deadline.

Review & Selection

All abstracts will be reviewed by the Summit’s Scientific Committee.

Submissions will be assessed based on:

  • Relevance to the Summit themes
  • Scientific or technical quality
  • Originality
  • Clarity
  • Practical or industrial significance
  • Potential contribution to discussion during the Summit

A limited number of abstracts will be selected for oral presentation. The Scientific Committee may recommend changes to the title or scope of a presentation to ensure alignment with the relevant Summit session.

The decision of the Scientific Committee will be final.
